Hi! I'm Natalie.

I'm currently finishing up my senior year at the University of Washington studying Interaction Design and Philosophy. I work at UW's Arts and Entertainment program, designing promotional material for large scale events. This past summer, I worked at a design studio called Tectonic. I'm passionate about solving big, messy problems with interdisciplinary conversation, ideation, and design.

While the merging of my two degrees might seem initially unconventional, I like to think that ethics and design must work hand-in-hand in order to create a world in which all people can achieve equity. I hope to work towards meaningful, impactful, progressive change via design, technology, and philosophy.  Through the lens of philosophy, I like to look at how people know, how they perceive reality, and how they  interact with technology and merge those notions into my iterations and many, many prototypes.

Right now, I'm particularly interested in thinking of ways future technologies, like augmented reality and artificial intelligence, could be used in the classroom to teach intangible concepts.

In my spare time, I am a hiker and a huge fan of Wilco.
